In addition to forming Clark Street Development, John Collins is also a Partner of Collins Interests, Ltd. which specializes in development, asset management, investment consulting and financing placement for commercial real estate properties. The Company currently manages a portfolio of over 2 million square feet of industrial, retail, office and mixed used properties concentrated in the greater metropolitan Chicago area.

Over and above his management responsibilities, Mr. Collins development experience includes projects utilizing a myriad of JV structures, 1031 exchange requirements, Federal Empowerment Zone and tax increment financing, advanced tax strategy, as well as the use of public funds.

Prior to Collins Interests, Mr. Collins worked for LaSalle Bank NA in their Commercial Real Estate Departments where he underwrote national and international real estate including office, industrial, retail, self-storage, and multi-family properties for REIT’s and private development firms.

Mr. Collins is a graduate of Indiana University, majoring in Finance. Mr. Collins currently resides in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago, IL.
